Heart drawn in sand
Aviva Derenowski / Coffee House Writers

I see myself in you,
but I’m not you.

You’re magic,
Awesome,
Fragile,
like me,
but you’re not me.

You’re indestructible.

I’m indestructible
in a different way,
because we’re unique.

I see myself in you,
because
we’re both human,
but our sensations,
motions
and choices
differ.

Instead of
judging
and trying to
modify
you,
I’ll study your actions
like a stunning enigma,
and see your beauty.

I’m blessed
to be
with you.
