A poem about rising in the midst of chaos in our world

Even when devastation is all around

And there is Hatred looming in the crowds

Even when Senseless crimes occur

You see people rise and make a difference.

Even when the news shows a  child who cries for its mother

And you See the man searching for his family

You are able to see those who focus on helping others in the midst of all the pain.

Then you see crowds of people gather to help one another

Children sing a song of praise.

Then suddenly the Rejoicing spreads

You also see women and men who gather to help the neighbors

And rebuild their homes.

Then suddenly you see the Rejoicing Spreads.

Even when the Devastation is all around

And Hatred seems to loom in the crowds

the senseless crimes are everywhere but

No matter what the times bring, the Rejoicing has spread, and with it Love, and that will always prevail.
