My favorite color is black.
Like an eye when your kid accidentally hits you with a baseball bat.
Or at least that’s what you say.
Truth is, you unintentionally got in your partner’s way.
You think it’s love and tell yourself it’s too late to turn back.
Until they knock you in a coffin and your future fades back into Black.
