Frightful YouTube Channels For Halloween

Halloween brings out the spookiness within us all. It is the time of year where our thoughts of creepy stories, ghosts, and goblins come into play. We go to haunted houses for scares from people dressed up as clowns, Freddys, Michaels, and Jasons. We curl up with a bowl of popcorn on our laps, watching horror movies and television shows from our streaming devices. It is the only time of year where most people are interested in the paranormal. For those too scared to venture out into the world of real haunted houses and cemeteries or need a frightful story to tell around the bonfire. Here are a few YouTube channels that can help you.
Creepypastas
Creepypastas are horror stories passed around on internet forums. The term derives from copypasta (copy and paste). The telling of these stories has gone from forums to sites dedicated to the telling of these horrifying stories. Examples are Creepypasta and Creepypasta Wiki. Now, they have moved on to video formats.
If you are ever in the mood to listen to a terrifying tale check out Mr. Creepypasta. Not only does this YouTube channel have uploads, but it also has a 24/7 Horror Radio. Recommended not to fall asleep to, for the stories will invade your dreams and turn them into nightmares.
Mr. Creepypasta is not the only one with a 24/7 livestream and fearful uploads. CreepsMcPasta’s YouTube channel is just as terrifying. The narrations will have you quivering in your boots.
Short Films
Looking to sit back and watch a movie that has you afraid to turn off the lights? Check out Crypt TV. They upload bi-weekly tales of horror. The shows you view here will have you believing in monsters that lurk in the dark crevices of your mind. One of their best short films is now a series on Facebook Watch, The Birch.
If you love Crypt TV, check out French Horror Movies. They devote this YouTube channel to short horror films.
Paranormal Videos
Who doesn’t enjoy watching a clip of a video taken with a camera phone of a mysterious creature lurking in the woods or a disc darting around in the sky? In our minds, we think “this is fake,” but there is something, that little voice whispering in your ear, “It is real.”
Watching such clips are scarier than listening to a creepypasta tale or watching a horror movie, look at Slapped Ham. The YouTube channel didn’t start off with scary lists, but now, well, it is a different story. Their lists range from missing people from unusual circumstances to UFOs to aliens to demons and ghosts that go bump in the day and night. Not only do viewers love what they post, but the host, Kallen, is as popular as the videos themselves, pew pew.
King Frostmare shares his love of scary video games, but he has a playlist for The Scariest Videos Caught Around the World. He focuses his lists on paranormal sightings captured by people using their phones or cameras.
There are many more YouTube channels geared toward horror stories, movies, and ghosts caught on film. Each of us has our favorite, what is yours?
