Glasses

Why do we keep glasses in the house with kids?

They are always broken.

A Kid’s mantra is to

“Break it up,

Break it down,

Break it all around”

Glasses

How many pairs of glasses have a parent replaced?

I know I’ve gone through at least ten pair.

Through the lifetime of my children

Glasses

Even as adults they still come and break my glasses

The new Mantra is

“Break it down,

Step on it,

Grind it in the ground”

Oops they say

Every time it happens.

Glasses

My poor broken glasses

Never will they hold a delicious drink again

Never will they pour water on my plants

Never will they touch my lips with their coolness

Glasses

B.R.Henry

Plant, Cultivate, Grow, Repeat: Doing These Things Will Help You Soar - B.R. Henry I love writing, I am inspired by life events and emotions. I want my work to touch your heart and make you think. Poetry is my favorite genre, making rhymes with words that beat in time to the rhythm of your heart's deepest emotions brings me joy. Babette lives in Pennsylvania with her two children. She holds a Master's of English and Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University, as well a Bachelor's in Marketing from Virginia State University. She is a member of Sigma Tau Delta International English Honors Society. Babette enjoys writing poetry and trying her hand at short stories. Babette is active in her community; she runs a Daisy Brownie Girl Scout troop and is on the board for a Theatre Company. She works on projects for Autism Awareness, Homelessness, and Cancer. Babette's favorite motto is “The one who dies with the most toys wins”-Unknown
