Since Father’s Day is June, 21, I wanted to recognize a few of the important men in my life.

I would like to begin with my amazing husband, Jeremy Stein, who is the most hardworking, greatest dad to our three kids and my most wonderful and supportive husband. Babe, what you do for us cannot be summed up because you do it selflessly and with so much love for us all. I hope you know we love you and appreciate all you do, not just on Father’s Day but all the year through. You are also an incredible son to your parents and an overall awesome person.

The second person I would like to recognize on this day is my wonderful Father-in-law, Dale Stein. Dad, since the moment I came into you and Mom’s life, you have treated like family. I feel so blessed that you guys always say that I am the daughter you all never had. Thank you. I feel so grateful for both of you. Dad, I appreciate the love you give to us all.  The strong work ethic passed on to Jeremy and the love of family.  You always go out of your way for us all, and I wanted to say not just on this day how lucky we all are.

Now I will move on to my dearest grandfather, Francisco Delgado. Grandpa, or Welo, as I called you short for Abuelo, which means Grandfather. I am grateful that you stepped in along with Grandma to help Mom when she and my dad divorced. Though it was a hard time for her, you and Grandma Consuelo did an amazing job in helping to care for us. I know you had a stricter way of raising us, but I would not be who I am today without you all. But I wanted to thank you for all the times you drove me to school, work, and just gave me so much advice and shared your childhood stories and the pain you had to endure in life along with Grandma to provide a better life for your kids. I am grateful to you, and I miss you so much. I cannot believe it has been almost nine years since you have been gone. I miss you and Grandma. You taught me so many things about life and how to treat others.  Thank you, Abuelo, and know that you will always be more than my grandpa but also my father.

I want to extend a big shout out to my Dad, Ramon Olivares. Dad, I can’t believe it has been 15 years since you have been gone. But I wanted to say that there is not a day that goes by that I do not wish you were here. I wish you could see the kids since you only barely got to see Paul when he was born, and then you passed shortly after that. They have got so much of your musicality, and whenever I hear a certain song, I can still hear you playing the guitar and singing along with all of us as we loved to do when we were kids. I miss you, Papa.

Finally, I wanted to say Happy Father’s Day to the men who have impacted my life. I love you all!
