Humans have a light inside.
Zach Vessels / Unsplash

Humans messy full of
dreams.
Messy, hopeful too it
seems.

Hopeful leads to fears
faced.
Hopeful leads to trust
misplaced.

Hopeful down the slippery
slope.
Shaken yet, we try to
cope.

Hopeful with our faces
drawn.
Steely while we soldier
on.

Hopeful through the wrath and
woe.
Heaving through the failures
blow.

Hopeful when you’re really
scared.
Naked when the ache is
shared.

Hopeful for a new
start.
Shattered by a crushed
heart.

Hopeful bleeds our days
raw.
Worries show our worst
flaw.

Hopeful when you thought you
knew.
Doubtful if you’ll make it
through.

Hopeful through the storm
surge.
Boldness, courage, both
emerge.

Hopeful makes us rise
again.
Open waits until the
the end.

Hopeful grabs the hand held
out.
Courage takes the second
route.

Hopeful, broken, brave and
soft.
Open, rising, fly
aloft.

Weary, shattered, bold and
strong.
Humbled, aching, holding
on.

Hopeful makes us rise
above.
Showing what we’re made
of.
