I Pray Unto You… (A Poem For These Times)
As I look all around me
And see all the despair
I pray unto you Lord
To give me strength
As I hear the protests
All around the world
I hang onto the hope
That all will be restored
I hear the cries of all those that mourn
And I cry unto you Lord to heal all our souls
And that somehow in the mist of all this chaos
We will be reborn to love one another
With equality as it should have always been
And begin to mend the pain within
I pray unto you Lord
To show us the way and the light
To help us heal during these trying times.
