Is The Light Our Goal?

Light
Coffee House Writers / Ivor Steven

From beyond a blade of grass
I see a universe so vast
I see evening starlight’s
And I feel the morning sunlight

In the Eastern sky
I see a fading moonlight
And behind our world’s darkest clouds
I feel the glow of our brightest light

Are we worthy enough to control the light?
Is acknowledgement the only goal?
To the enlightenment of our soul

Can we decode the mystery of light?
Before we self-implode out of sight
