The Jazzy Chronicles | Glitter and Balls

Hello to all the Coffee House Readers out there! It’s me, Jazzy MacWebber! I am back again with more exciting tales for you. I am a little confused by events in our home over the last two weeks. The confusion started when Roy and Tish brought home a long box. They stood it up in the kitchen and left it there overnight.
Early the next morning, Roy went out and came home with the most spectacular shiny, blue rope, and a container of round, glittery balls. Later that day, Roy moved the chair in front of my tower, and he moved the Green Monster, which they call a Christmas Cactus, beside my tower. He cleared a space on the floor in front of the living room window; I climbed to the top of my tower to watch what he was doing.
He opened the box and took out these things in 3 pieces. After he put the pieces together, he had created a tree.
I had to investigate it more closely, and I used my nose and paws to check it out.
They made the tree pretty with lights; it looks magical when they are on. I may not play with the electrical cords, even though they look like a string to me. They wrapped the blue string around the tree next. The last step was opening the container of balls. They bounce very well, and I have fun chasing the ones I knock off the tree. One thing I am finding all over the house since they hung the balls on the tree is glitter. There is now glitter everywhere!
I have to tell you, I was very curious when it was all put together. That first night, after Tish and Roy went to bed, I ate a little piece of the tree. Before morning, I regretted that decision, but Tish cleaned up the mess I made when the tree came back up. The tree made me sick, though this should not have surprised me, as it smelled fake. I have not had so much as a nibble since.
Playing with the glitter balls is great entertainment, though. It is fun to bat them around with my paws and chase them all over the house! I have heard Tish and Roy talking about the tree, saying it is for Christmas. My name is Jazzy, so this confuses me slightly. Obviously it is for me, even if I am not sure what it is for. Tish wanted me to pose for pictures around the tree. When we finished, I was hungry. Posing for pictures is hard work, and hard work deserves treats. I think Tish understood exactly what I meant when she took the last picture of me today.
I think I hear wrapping paper! Ooh, I hope it means that Tish will bring out the ribbon for me to play with, too! Whatever you celebrate this year, I hope your holidays are fun and full of glitter like mine are! I plan to be writing here again soon, and until I do, don’t chew on any fake trees. It is a trap, one that ends with a sore tummy. Stick to the coffee, Jazzy fans.
You can even put a candy cane in it if you want to spruce it up for the holidays. I know Tish will get me to climb to the top of my tower for treats any minute now, so I have to go. Stay warm, Jazzy Fan Club, and spread glitter wherever you go!
