Jazzy’s Selfie Time!

Hello Coffee House Readers! It has been a weird year, hasn’t it? Tish thought it would be time for you to take a break from reality and enter Jazzy’s world once again.

I have learned so much in my life so far. Like how to hunt any bugs that enter my domain, and how it hurts my head to try and catch them on the outside of the window. I express my discontent with them when they stay outside, but not very many accept my invitations to come inside to play.

The leaves look different now. How can they be so bright as they fall off the trees to the ground? My fur just looks the same when it falls off. Outside can be very confusing. Especially since I cannot figure out how I can get there.
Tish says it is windy outside this week. Which is absolutely fascinating to me. I can watch birds, bugs, spiders, and leaves all blowing around my huge living room window. When I sit at the very top of my tower, I get the best view of all. I can see people, dogs, and even other cats out there sometimes.

When Tish is working somewhere else, I sleep in the tower and hang out with Roy. She gets up really early to get ready for work, and when she gets home, I can tell that she is tired. Then she sits at her desk to work even more! I do not like this. She should totally stop all of the work, and quit all of the stuff she works on, and spend all her time taking care of me. Roy still spends a lot of days at home, at his desk, doing other kinds of work. I watch him work. There is a window in the room where he works, too, and I can get closer to the outside when the wind machine is not in the window.

When they are both working, I am left to amuse myself. I will play hockey with anything that I can find to slide on the floor between my paws. It isn’t just my toys that I play with. I like finding different toys on my own. Q-tips, grape stems, and empty jello containers are a lot of fun. They don’t stay where I leave them, though. I don’t know how they all disappear, but eventually, they all do.
When Tish is home, I love to look down on her from the top of my tower. If she does not take breaks promptly, I show her my displeasure by knocking things over on her desk. Since she calls me her therapy cat when I make her take breaks, I really get a kick out of leaping onto her desk to startle her. It works every time. She pretends to get mad, but she doesn’t fool me. I know when she should take breaks.

One day when she was attending her breaktime appropriately, she taught me how to take selfies. She is in some of them, but I think I got the hang of it. I would enjoy doing this again. Maybe without her this time. You know, like one of those surprises she says she is always full of. I just have to convince her to leave me in charge of the device she takes them on. Shouldn’t be too hard, she is wrapped around my front paws.

Keep practicing those selfie skills. If I can manage to get a decent selfie, you can too. Until next time, Coffee House Readers, keep your whiskers clean, and don’t forget to take your breaks!
