Top 5 Reasons To Love Outlander

One of the shows that I have recently gotten into, thanks to my awesome mother-in-law, is Outlander on Starz. Outlander is a British-American television drama series based on the historical, time travel Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. I have recently began reading the books and been binging the show. Here are the five reasons you should be watching it:

1. Jaime Frasier.

My main reason is that I love watching the character Jaime Frasier. What can I say? He is just the most romantic, handsome, and brave man, who is devoted to Claire. In any situation, he is there for Claire. It doesn’t matter how time keeps separating them, he is always loyal to her.

2. Claire Frasier.

Claire is a time traveler, who time-after-time shows how much she loves Jaime. No matter how hard the mission is their love seems to withstand time.Claire is so dedicated and brave and always strives to do the right thing.

3. The action of the show–with time travel!

How can you not love a show that shares not only historical events but is able to transform Claire through time travel. Diana Gabaldon created such an amazing heroine in Claire and her abilities, but what the creators of this show have done with it is just brilliant.

4. Claire and Jaime.

These two together have gone through so much together. Just when you think their story is over it has just begun. This is one of my favorite couples in fiction and on TV. They have withstood and continue to be there for one another.

5. The villains.

Everyone loves a good villain and each season you see a different one on this show. I know we love to dislike them, but they do make this show more interesting.

If you have not watched the show, start binging it now. I know you will love it, and if you prefer to begin on the books be sure to check them out as well!
