Magic Little Pill

You give me a pill

Tell me it’s magic;

You say it will fix all my issues-

and make me whole again.

You blame the pandemic;

rightly so.

But will the pill fix the state of the world?

The pill you’ve gifted will help with

mood

personal connections

feeling hopeless and helpless

anxiety

but what happens after the pill?

Where does the magic go?

What will help once they’re gone?
