As if there was any doubt about President Trump being a racist from the campaign trail, he goes and proves it beyond a shadow of a doubt by instructing the Justice Department to sue colleges that use the Affirmative Action Law to discriminate against white applicants. For those not knowing what the Affirmative Action Law is: It is the law that makes it so schools take race into account, in a positive way, when looking over applications in order to give minorities a better chance at getting into colleges they might not normally have a chance to get into based on the circumstances that often accompany race, in order to even out the playing field.

Basically, all the President has done is give every white male with an ax against the college they wanted to get into, a way to sue them if they follow the law. This will clog up courtrooms for years, as judge after judge dismisses it and then it gets appealed. This is a clearly racist move, as Affirmative Action was designed to put minorities on a more even playing field and the President is trying to warp it in a racist way.

He claims to be cracking down on gang violence, but he just took one of the most effective tools for that and said it is not allowed. Way to hand the gangs a new recruiting tool, Mr. President. Does this President even have a brain? Or is he just listening to those around him and giving them what they want? All we get are a bunch of one liners from him, and then he does racist things like this to railroad what he just got done saying he was working for.

We can expect to see racial tensions grow higher from this, as well as more racial attacks most likely. It doesn’t matter if President Trump calls for it to stop, it will be meaningless because of his actions this week. His actions support a racist agenda that empowers racists everywhere, and Congress must act to put a stop to it.

If Congress fails to act to put the brakes on this racial attack, then the courts must put a stop to it. And, if no one puts a stop to it, then the divide in this country will continue to grow catastrophically I fear. It is time to take to email, twitter, and the good old phone, and start reminding representatives that they have a duty to put a stop to stuff like this. President Trump must be reminded that he represents all the people not just the ones he chooses to.
