Promises

Whispers into the night,

I will never leave,

Never forget,

Never be with another.

Promises to be forgotten.

Not all forevers are meant,

Not all of life is heaven sent.

Sometimes you just have

To pull yourself up from hell,

Learning quickly how to tell,

When the promise given

Comes from a bull’s back end.
