5 Reasons You Should Give The “Roseanne” Reboot A Try…

If you are one of the many fans who watched Roseanne on ABC in the 1990s you are familiar with the Conner Family and how this comedy instilled so many laughs to millions of households all over the world in front of a live audience for nearly 9 seasons. The main reason was that the show wasn’t just your typical 30-minute sitcom. The dynamics came from tackling subjects like the overall struggles of the economy, birth control, domestic violence, and depression, all surrounding the main star Roseanne and her family: her husband Dan, daughters Darlene and Becky, their youngest son D.J., and her sister Jackie.

You all may be wondering why I decided to write about this show for my article. Well, I began thinking about it when I heard that Roseanne was coming back as a reboot on March 27, 2018. So I wanted the chance to give you five reasons, but I am sure I can think of more, why you should give this show a try:

1. The same cast signed on to be a part of the reboot.

Roseanne Barr will be back, alongside original cast members John Goodman, who played her husband Dan, Lecy Goranson, who played her older daughter Becky Connor, Sara Gilbert, who played the always-sarcastically-funny Darlene Connor, Michael Fishman, who played their son D.J. Conner, and also Laurie Metcalf, who played the very sassy and neurotic sister of Roseanne’s, Jackie Harris.

2. The new Roseanne is filmed in the same live studio as the original.

It will be filmed with a live audience and on aired the same network ABC.

3. Real life topics.

[iframe src=”//giphy.com/embed/n2IPMYMthV0m4″ width=”480″ height=”337″ frameBorder=”0″]

With all of the topics this family tackled in the 1990s, from the economy to being a middle-class family from Landford, Illinois, I am curious to see what topics in the news they will tackle now and how they add the same humor to each one.

4. Looking forward to seeing other cast members join in.

This show had so many wonderful guest stars. I always loved Roseanne’s nice, but at times righteous, friend Crystal played by Natalie West. I also loved Estelle Parsons as Roseanne and Jackie’s super controlling mom.

5. Laughs and sarcasm.

One of the main reasons I love this show is the humor and the sarcasm of the main star Roseanne and her family. They keep it real, even when life is rough. It is just the thing our country needs right now.

I hope you will check out the reboot. Even if you have never seen or heard of this show, do not worry, Amazon Prime and other streaming networks offer the entire 9 seasons. So you can get yourself caught up!
