Should You Use Tik-Tok For Business?

The Tik-Tok craze has swept over us during this quarantine and people just love it. There are influencers, famous people, regular folks, and everyone in between and they are using Tik-Tok to showcase everything from dance moves to dealing with the pandemic. We’ve all seen at least one Tik-Tok we liked, or you’ve even fallen down the Tik-Tok hole and spent more time on the site than you should have.
The question: “Should you use it?”
The short answer: “Sure, why not?”
However, if you are trying to grow a brand, you can still use it for business purposes, but you might have to use it a little differently. The newest dance craze may not sit well with potential clients for your business. Using the social media site as a way to grow your business, may just be the thing your business needs or it could potentially do nothing for your business or brand.
Review your niche on Tik-Tok and see how others might be using it for business growth. If you don’t find anything on the site that deals with what you are wanting to share, this could be a good thing or a bad thing. So it is important that you plan at least a couple of weeks worth of Tik-Tok ideas. Do you have enough ideas to span over a specific amount of time? Is it specific to your niche? Is it professional or whimsical?
It is also important to note, the clientele you want for your business. Will they be on Tik-Tok? Do you want other users to reach out to you for business queries? If other users aren’t what you’re looking for in the networking department then maybe reconsider using Tik-Tok for business purposes. What it boils down to if you want to use it after building a social media content calendar and you think it might work for you, then try it. The worst that could happen is it tanks and no one even watches your videos. Then you can just move on to the next project.
