My Top Five Reasons you should watch the series, Big Little Lies, on HBO, unless you’re living under a rock. Hello! Who doesn’t want to watch a dark comedy series that tells a story of beautiful mothers whose perfect lives become unravel to the point of… murder?

1. Best-Selling Book

They base the HBO series on the book by Best -Selling Australian Author, Liane Moriarty’s, Big Little Lies.

The best way I can describe how I felt when I found out they were adapting this book into a series was like hearing the voice of Oprah when she would announce her favorite things.

2. It has an all-star female cast

The wonderful cast line-up has Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Zoe Kravitz, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley, and for this Season Two, they added the talented Meryl Streep.

In the show the series focus on the Monterey California 5 and the web of lies that are spun between all of them.

3. Adaptation

This adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s book is one for the books thanks to the amazing David E. Kelley, creator of hit shows like Picket Fences, Ally McBeal, The Practice, and many more.

4. The storyline keeps you guessing

[iframe src=”//giphy.com/embed/ihMiZPsu1B7n8azSk3″ width=”480″ height=”480″ frameBorder=”0″]
This story is one of those thrillers that keeps you guessing until the end and just when you think you know what happens… do you, really?  The themes are so heavy and will take you on a roller coaster of emotions.

5. Cattiness

Last but not least, the cattiness of each of these women is like no other. Season One had good lines but I think Season Two is really outdoing itself especially with the addition of Meryl Streep as Celeste’s mother-in-law who wants revenge.  Her interaction with the Monterey California 5, as they’re called, is one of a kind.

These are the top five reasons why I love the show, and unless you’re living under a rock, you should be watching it too!
