Total Harmony: A Poem
I want to grow up
And I want to stay young forever.
I want to get married
And I want to stay an individual.
I want to own a house
And I want to stay in my apartment.
I want to excel in my chosen career
And I want to go back to school for something completely different.
I want to win the lottery
And I want to work every day for the rest of my life.
I want to create things
And I want to do nothing all day.
I want to laugh until I can’t breathe
And I want to be completely serious.
I want to scream at the top of my lungs
And I want to sit silently.
I want to eradicate my depression and anxiety
And I want them to stay.
I want to feel small under the stars
And I want to be the biggest thing in the universe.
I want to be a better person
And I like the way I am right now.
I am a contradiction
And I am total harmony.
