World Kindness Day: Treat Yourself

This World Kindness Day take some time out and be kind yourself. The world is full of awesome people, just like you. You might think kindness is just about other people. For World Kindness Day, you may want to buy your mail carrier a cup of coffee. after all, November will bring cold mornings. You might be thinking about spending World Kindness Day at a soup kitchen, hoping those who are less fortunate will be blessed with a better day. A warm hot meal will be welcomed on a cold fall day. Those are amazing ways to spread good vibes.
But what are you doing for yourself? Please be mindful that you are amazing. You deserve happiness and joy. There is nothing wrong with treating yourself to a little kindness this November. Please remember to take some time out from wrapping all the gifts you bought for your friends, family, and coworkers. Take some time out from decorating a mountain of cookies with frosting, then topping them with red and green sprinkles.
It’s okay to take some quiet time after a big Thanksgiving dinner. As much as you love your family, friends, and neighbors, there is a certain charm in taking a nice hot bath after a long day spent with family.
The pile of dishes and pie tins can wait until tomorrow, my friend. Or, better yet, use paper plates and plastic utensils, and go get yourself a mani-pedi. Not into manicures? That’s okay! Holiday movies are always a good relaxing pick-me-up. You can flick on the Hallmark Channel. Better yet, put on your favorite holiday sweater and go to a movie.
Getting a professional message is another great way to treat yourself but remember to leave a hefty tip for the misuse. It is the holiday season!
