On Days Like These
Missing you, like a bee and her hive
Like the sun with no sky
Missing you, like the moon of last night
Like a light with no sight
Between the rain and the pain
Between my veins and the chains
Between the waterfall and the pond
Between my heart and the beyond
Missing you, like a swallow with no breeze
Like a whale with no sea
Missing you, Like a man with no land
Like a beach with no sand
Between the winds and the waves
Between the flowers of your towers
Between the river and the broken levee
Between the eclipse and your lips
Missing you, like the universe with no dark
Like the strings in a harp
Missing you, my one true love
You are a dove soaring above
Missing you, like a mother and her child
I am a lonely child in the wild
A beautiful tribute
