Three Generations Lived Together As One

Three generations lived together under one roof as one.
Then the youngest challenged the ways of the oldest.
They reached no reconciliation.

So, they separated – with torn hearts.

A death brought them together again.
At the funeral, the mind of the oldest and youngest recognized how it was, too late to live as ‘One’.
Hearts felt otherwise.

They only reunite at weddings, and funerals these days.
Warm embraces fill their longing hearts.
New promises replace the old as they temporarily become ‘One’, once more.

Ritu Anand

Ritu Anand started writing when she could hold a pencil. She wrote on walls, newspapers, old books, new ones, and even on furniture. Her muse made her do it. These days, when she is not found writing, she is usually found spending time with family, engaging with characters of a novel, teaching elementary students writing skills, or golfing. Ritu lives in Sarasota, Florida with her loving husband.Ritu's debut picture book - KARA'S DREAMS is available for purchase on Barnes & Noble, Amazon, https://rituzastoryteller.com and www.PathBinderPublishing.com.
