The Box (A Poem)

Do you see the box over there?
With its four walls, plus bottom and top

Do you question why it is there?
Possibly?
Probably?
Maybe?

I have seen the many forms
I have taste the many textures
Colors galore have met my vision
Beating me down until I am weak

I’ve stood on the edge of Time
Only to loose my mind
And regain it again

I’ve lost
I’ve cried
I’ve failed

Gone far beyond the realm of Mortals
And yet still returned with my soul

I have experienced what makes the strong, weak
And the weak, strong

What does that make me?

Good question

Should you be able to answer that
I’d applaud
Or maybe
I’d just laugh

A mile in my shoes should not be traveled lightly
Steps upon broken glass
To bring the blood into the light

-Chuckles-

Can you smell it?
Can you taste it upon your pallet?
Biting into the senses like a jackhammer into the ground

Do you laugh?
Do you laugh dear child?
Do my words confuse you?

Good… then my task is just beginning

Take that and bind it around your waist
For you are in for a bumpy ride
Or are you?

Do you wish to follow?
Living in Heaven
And in Hell
Both caressing the flesh
Heating and arousing

Yessssssssssssss feel it

Or run and run fast

I’m am the Creator
And the Destroyer

All or nothing

Because once you stop from that

Box

of

safety

You… well I think you know

Or do you?
