I am sitting still

and you walked by,

eyes glazed over

head held high

My eyes caught yours

but yours, never mine

as you strolled on by

marking your own time

How would it feel?

to get a chance to see

the world

through the

eyes of another being?

Would I see beauty,

only you alone have seen

Or

would I corrupt

your memories to suit just me

Would the journey be,

painful or sweet

beautiful or meek

comfort you seek?

Was your life hard

and made you weak,

or is it freedom

you now seek,

that shields your

eyes so unique

It makes me wonder,

Oh, how I wonder –

How would it feel,

to see the world

through the

eyes of another

How far would I go

based on,

what you’ve seen

and what you know –

Stories suspended

secrets securely detained,

shadows the memories

you hold within

That vacant look

Occupies your eyes,

Shield your silent cries

As your life, slips on by

So I sit still

and ponder

Oh yes! I do wonder

How it would feel

to view the world

through the eyes of another

Sea breeze clears my mind as the waves washes the tension away. Belize my native land that breathes creativity and uniqueness with every ray of sunshine. Written words my way of standing up and speaking out.
