Coffee House Writers / Ritu Anand

The radiance on his face shows all.

His folded hands say all.

He won all negotiations with the One.

While alive, he meditated and repeated His name ad nauseam.

He entered the One’s universe on his own terms.

He merged with One, for the world to see.

The world he leaves behind still does not understand how he did it,

how he became one with One.

When he was one among many on the ground, they called him names,

all, but his own.

Today, they revere his beautiful countenance.

They don’t comprehend but miss him.

He was hard to manage, as he had come to depend on everyone.

They felt burdened by him.

Today, they wish they could carry him once again.

But he’s gone and still there.

Not one among many, but the One.

Ritu Anand

Ritu Anand started writing when she could hold a pencil. She wrote on walls, newspapers, old books, new ones, and even on furniture. Her muse made her do it. These days, when she is not found writing, she is usually found spending time with family, engaging with characters of a novel, teaching elementary students writing skills, or golfing. Ritu lives in Sarasota, Florida with her loving husband. Ritu's debut picture book - KARA'S DREAMS is available for purchase on Barnes & Noble, Amazon, https://rituzastoryteller.com and www.PathBinderPublishing.com.
