It’s Halloween night, and the air is full of energy and excitement. Is anyone really thinking about dinner? The answer is no, but we all need to eat. Check out these go to Halloween night meal ideas for kids who are focused on everything but dinner.

Mummy Dogs

My kiddos favorite option for Halloween night is mummy dogs. A simple combination of regular hotdogs and crescent rolls or biscuits out of the refrigerator section of the grocery aisle. Super simple meal idea, if I say so myself! Using the dough of your choice, you wrap the hotdogs up to look like one of our favorite Halloween characters, the mummy. Soup all Around

The next go to meal on Halloween night for my crew is soup. I prepare one or two pots of soup and keep them warm on the stove all evening. This allows the kids and the adults to eat as they are ready. With my family, it is often a first dinner before trick-or-treating and a second dinner after. My absolute favorite soups to have prepared and ready to go are chili and chicken noodle soup. They pair well with bread or crackers and easily fill hungry bellies.

Get out the Crock Pot

Next thing on my Halloween night agenda, get out the crock pot and prepare a hot sandwich option. My two favorites are pulled pork and sloppy joes. We can do these two staples as full-size sandwiches or sliders. They can stay warm and ready to go in a crock pot. A simple side of potato chips is all you need for a complete meal. These sandwiches are warm, kid friendly, and ready to go all night long.

Happy Halloween!

Consider these five options for your Halloween night meal before you order pizza or hit the drive-thru after school. Simple, filling, and ready when you are. I hope your Halloween night is full of tricks and treats and all things spooktacular. Happy Halloween!
