My Little Star

There is a night sky mixed with blue and black colors, along with numerous stars filling the sky and the shadow of a few trees peaking out from below the image, creating a beautiful view of the night sky

I see a little star in my dreams.
One sitting far beyond my reach within the endless sky.
Its soft yet bold aura of serenity glows bright,
Calling out to me like a siren out at sea.

I crave to capture it, wanting to experience that
Same level of peace and happiness I envy so much.
Yet with each attempt, I’m met with empty palms and heartbreak.
It feels as though I’m on a never-ending chase,
My determination and optimism depleting with each new failure.

I still continue on, though, and prepare myself for the next try.
For the spark of faith residing within me refuses to die out,
Pushing me to keep going when my body is incapable.

This hope inside me becomes my drive,
To one day catch my beautiful little star
And embrace it with open arms,
A dream I will pursue for years to come.
