Black trimmed compass laying on a cream white background

Inside the White House of Justice
I found an unused compass
The dial was both black and white
Pointing up, down, left, and right
Not the normal North-south, East and West
Slyly, I looked around and tucked it into my vest

Oh well, I thought, finders’ keepers
Why leave it for the government sweepers?
Despite not showing me, which way I was going
Any direction was better than just not knowing
