Epiphany Of The Soul
I walked through blackness lately. Holding out my arms, forever searching for hope, only to realize that hope is not solid but as free as the air. It shows itself through a crack in the dark—a glow that grows when worry and doubt combine. You cannot have hope alone but in combination with adversity.
As for doubt—I used to think that doubt was bad but recognize that it is a tool to re-evaluate life’s situations. To see what we have not seen. Worry is what happens when we stumble and lose faith. Sometimes we tumble into the wall of doubt—stopping us from plummeting into the abyss of the destitute and hopeless.
Other times, we lose our footing and fall effortlessly into that chasm. The landing is always hard—sometimes hard enough to break us. Then we look up and witness a glimmer of light. This is when our journey becomes a lesson in self-awareness, an epiphany of the soul.
The depths of darkness are never pitch black because light always punches through its ceiling. That’s when we look up and come to life—reborn of faith through hope. Hope is that sliver of light building the backbone of confidence and self-assuredness.
When the bones of our humanity strengthen, it is then that we know who we are. We realize what makes us strong. Failure doesn’t weaken us. On the contrary, failures are opportunities to learn and improve. The lessons of life groom us to endure the obstacles we face. Those challenges ignite our creativity and imagination.
We can dare to imagine our lives on a higher plane of accomplishment. Who are we in this vast universe of light and dark? We are the souls who wander in worry, trudge through sludge, and rise in faith through hope.
Very insightful! Loved it.
