Save the Bees

Beside the brilliant babbling brook, bees begin their day
Flitting between the fragrant flowers, they fertilize away
Gently generating the next generation, they give it all they’ve got
Eagerly expecting the Earth’s esteem, they escape with the lot
To help the honey in their hive and hear what others have seen
These thrifty, tiny insects work tirelessly for their queen!
And yet
They’re disappearing one by one,
For humans pose a threat.
We must reverse what we’ve done
Or we shall soon regret!
