The Creature
Oh beautiful, horrible creature, you
With eyes like starlight and hair of nightshade
Lucky am I to be one of the few
To feel the sting of your beguiling blade
Your slender fingers wrap around my heart
And rend it’s still beating mass from my chest
I’ll never abandon you, nor depart
For your pale visage is unlike the rest
Your poisonous smile rushes through my soul
As you strip my flesh from each little bone
Though I am broken, you make me feel whole
And I forfeit my life with every moan
As you pull out my last shuddering breath
I swear to love you in life or in death
