Time rolls past all beings
Like the wind – we know it’s been,
But it cannot be seen.
Time does not hide behind a screen,
Nor make a scene.

Time is not the queen,
Nor dressed in holy jeans.
Time is neither foreseen,
Nor an ancient machine.
Time needs no lateen,
Nor an obscene latrine.

Time is an invisible mezzanine –
Time is the universe’s cosmic ravine.
