To Be Known

I want to know what it’s like
to be truly known by someone;
to have their touch memorized
and feel how their frame fits so perfectly
into mine.
I wish to look into their eyes
and see myself reflected in them.
I ache to collect pieces of them like a puzzle:
their laugh, their smile, the way they say my name.
I long for those times when it’s late at night
and we’re talking to each other about nothing,
but then there’s this moment
where we finish each other’s sentences.
It feels so magical and raw,
so familiar that we can easily predict
what the other one is thinking.
A complete love.
