Whispering wombs of our mothers

where we once swam in amniotic fluid

life force like no others

Guided by the lined hands of grandmothers

wizened and sharp as a druid

Whispering wombs of our mothers

Their love unconditional buffers

elixir of life flows liquid

life force like no others

Adding brilliant colors

Never muted and cold

Whispering wombs of our mothers

Hear their cries for our lost brothers

their pained hearts lucid

life force like no others

Always the first to recover

women are better suited

whispering wombs of our mothers

life force like no others

Ivor, the photo is perfectly paired with this poem, both reflecting the uncertainties of this era.
