My Vulnerability

Shard glass on the ground of my soul.
A window with stains of pain, fear, hopes, dreams, and more.
You peek through.
Can you handle it when the picture of me is different than you thought it would be?

What I’ve learned –

People can turn to ghosts in an instant.
Not just in death, but in life too.
I know in your change I will love you.

Will you love me in mine?
Vulnerability is not something I let everyone see.
You have seen more of me  than anyone before.
You make me vulnerable.

My heart is already in your possession.
Please, don’t dismiss this fact.
I have opened up to you like never  before.
Finally, I have bloomed.

Hesitation, fallen away with you.
Open is this written confession.
You are love to me.
I see myself with you, 100 years from now.

I hope your vulnerability is the image of me,
like my vulnerability is you.
Monsters are real – we  both know this.
Cruelty comes with beauty,
but when you find someone that gives themselves so freely that is true beauty.
Pure vulnerability, my gift to you.
