Woman's face - picture of resilient rebellion

Tip-toes bent
Nail bitten, raw

Rough around the edges
Not much of lady

Loud, boisterous
Quiet, reserve

Cynical little beast
Wild and tame

Straddling imaginary lines
Good and evil

Black and white
Lost in the grey bleakness

Of right and wrong
Finding it hard

Serving two masters
society and self

Gnawing at double-knotted
apron strings

Desperate for release
Tormented torturer

Waiting the executioner
with pale neck bared

Yet deadly stroke never strikes
for the Rebellious always fight
