Heroes are overrated
The type entitled
to always save
a damsel.

As if I, a mere maiden,
need liberation
from anything
outside desire.

I’m no mere maiden,
I don’t need liberation,
emancipation,
or freedom.

I’m a woman of
pure carnal youth
trapped inside
a fragile beauty.

I roam the streets
among naked
moonlight, waiting
for something wicked.

Yes, I need a wicked,
devious, villain.
The one to bind
me in chains.

To look into my soul,
to see me as no
ordinary lady
or innocent damsel.

To beckon me to follow
along the crooked path,
as I listen and find
freedom in his greedy touch.

His possessive nature,
my sound truth.
His ensnaring glance,
conviction to follow in blind faith.

Heroes are overrated,
as villains are desired.
For I’m not a child,
I’m his treasure.

Will you, oh devious captor,
hear my plea,
steal me away,
bind me to you forever?

For I don’t need heroes,
I need a villain.
I need a sinister rapture,
That is you alone.
