Relentless

You’re relentless,
a fire within your eyes,
the world laid before your feet.
Little does happiness on its own,
appear without a cloud in the sky.

Oh, you relentless soul indeed,
now you know both cruelty and beauty.
All a flash before you,
the empty, barren landscape ahead,
left to survive alone.

Now you’ve fallen,
bloodied knees as tears mark the ground.
But take heart,
there are better days ahead.
There is joy in the morning.

Fate’s design will do its bidding,
when all hope is lost.
For even a helping hand
will guide you home
where you belong.
