Kirk’s Song

An ordinary man,
unafraid, unashamed,
cherished by humanity,
Bold to proclaim
truth on rooftops,
regardless of cost.
A man once asked,
with sincerity, like
talking to a friend.
“If you could be associated
with one thing, how would
you want to be remembered?”
And without hesitation,
spoken from the lips of one
honest and loving,
“I wanna be
remembered for
courage, for my faith.”
“He who has ears to hear,
let him hear.” True
words the Good Lord said,
Echoing a man
gone too soon,
a soul extinguished.
If there was a moment,
where his eternal father
would be forever proud,
This is that moment,
fighting for truth
with a kind smile.
Martyrdom paves the way
to open arms
and humble hearts.
“Well done, my good and
faithful servant,” the
Holy God above says.
He has you now,
safe and sound,
free from our broken world.
