There's a white background with wooden pieces that have letters on them, spelling out the word Anxiety. Below the word is two groups of pills, likely representing anti anxiety medication.

Breathe in for 5:
My frantic thoughts go flying while I keep crying
Begging the demons in my head to stop lying
Struggling to breathe as the world crashes down on me
Until nothing is left but an empty husk
Because I’m trapped within the horrors of my mind.

Hold it for 4:
Why are you doing this to me?
Do you get off on making me suffer?
I never asked to be this way!
For once, just let me feel like I’m not a fuck up!

Release for 5:
The anxiety doesn’t care how I feel,
But that’s not how this will end.
You can beat me down until my body is bruised,
But this war will last a lifetime.
Get ready for the battle; I’m not giving up.

And Repeat.

Rowan Moskowitz

Rowan Moskowitz is a young LGBTQ+ woman born and raised in Queens NY. She has a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood education, and a certificate from taking a continued education course focused on professional editing. She loves to write meaningful poems about her deepest feelings, and she often writes about her personal experiences, wanting to show others like her that they are not alone in their own battles. When she’s not writing, she loves to draw, listen to musicals, plan her next tattoos, and make memories with those she loves most.
