Come and lay your burdens down
Here at my feet.
Come and rest in my presence,
I will bring you peace.
Stay here a while.
Talk with me, child.
Take off your strong face,
Let go of your wild.
Cry to me, scream,
Do what you need.
You think I don’t hear you.
You think I don’t care.
I let you go through
Too much to bear.
I want you to know,
I count all the tears.
I see your burdens.
I hold your fears.
Don’t give up today.
I’m paving your way-
and patching the seams.
Behind every sorrow,
I am working on your tomorrow.
And I am cheering the loudest
while you fulfill your dreams.
