Calm seas for a day and a half

have turned rough without giving me notice.

How must I prepare?

I have no choice but to ride the storm.

Rising, falling, and rising enough times will make me strong.

How do I know this?

This isn’t the first time, now is it?

Once strong, I could move as the wind, free forever.

Ritu Anand

Ritu Anand started writing when she could hold a pencil. She wrote on walls, newspapers, old books, new ones, and even on furniture. Her muse made her do it. These days, when she is not found writing, she is usually found spending time with family, engaging with characters of a novel, teaching elementary students writing skills, or golfing. Ritu lives in Sarasota, Florida with her loving husband. Ritu's debut picture book - KARA'S DREAMS is available for purchase on Barnes & Noble, Amazon, https://rituzastoryteller.com and www.PathBinderPublishing.com.
