Disconcerted
My entire being
is restive
Yet –
you offer nothing
that soothes me
My mind pleads
to be challenged
by your words
but I am met
with silence
My body starves
for passion
But –
your touch
is vacuous
My soul longs
for spiritual growth
But –
we are not
evenly yoked
I cannot ask
for more than
you can give
thus, my hunger
remains insatiable
