Glimpse Of You

A swift glimpse of
your exquisite face
makes my
heart race

Eyes placed slightly
on your splendor
and I calmly
drink you in

Your smile
allows my heart
to beat with vigor

The vibrations
rocking my body
with a steady beat

Similar effect of
a well-tapped drum
its rhythm released

My body dances
with no outward movement
but inside
I sway and glide

Only you and I
know the pleasure
I now hide

Your words flow
like the sweet
melody to
our song

that soothes my
restless soul
bringing it home
right where it belongs

Calpernia Charles

Sea breeze clears my mind as the waves washes the tension away. Belize my native land that breathes creativity and uniqueness with every ray of sunshine. Written words my way of standing up and speaking out.
