Life is a Cycle

the flower of life
amelsegre / pixabay

the wheel turns
moving from renewal to death
a cycle that is unending
life and death in full harmony

sometimes the cycle ends with crisp coldness
other times its the blazing heat
seasons come and seasons go
such is the circle of life

we often forget the cycle
too wrapped up in our problems
take a moment and realize
that when life ebbs it also flows

as we celebrate the yuletide holiday
we are grateful for those with us
let us not forgot those that have come before
and the gifts they gave us
