Unholy conspiracy

Why am I the unbeliever?
Because I never trusted you?
Cruel and deceitful
Always expecting me
To be perfect and holy
Like you, oh pious man

You told me I was meant
For something more than
What was given to me.
On God’s green earth
That it’s my destiny
My sole purpose

The days grew into weeks
Weeks grew into months
Months passed into years
No prayers answered to
A wretched sinner like me.
Meant to perish in hell.

All I got from you?
Pain and suffering
Telling everyone
Pathetic lies.
Destroying and
Obliterating me.

Venom in your words,
Ice in your veins,
A black hole in
Your empty eyes.
Charming enough
To lure all astray.

Doned to the world
A holy and righteous
Soul, that I could
Never achieve on earth.
Once a saint to me,
Now a conniving devil.

Depart from me, please!
Leave oh brood viper!
I don’t need you
I don’t want you
I don’t love you
Oh pious man.
