The hunter, Orion, crosses the sky
On this, the deepest, dark night of the year,
The sharp winds blow and the snow’s first flakes fly
Signs, Solstice of Yule with Winter is here.

Family and friends, draw their loved ones near
To deck the halls and hug each other tight,
Gathering happiness, laughter and cheer
With colorful balls and twinkling lights.

Drawing anyone in who’s cold on this night
To share the warmth and hope beneath the tree.
Tomorrow the sun shines with greater light
From magic cast through acts of sympathy:

Even as Earth’s thickly covered with snow
Spring comes, though colder and colder it grows.
