I want to fly above the sky, far beyond the moon
And search for the shine, before I lose my way

Looking for a brighter side, before I lose my way
As my weary reflection fades into the night

As the moon’s dark side melts into the night
Marooned, I cannot sing or use my wings

I hear an angel sing. Is she using my wings?
Is she caroling me to remain above the ground?

A lonely tree, surviving above the ground
Left to count the tears on the autumn leaves

My summer’s cheer ends with the fallen leaves
I’m counting the days, not knowing where to go

Counting the years, never knowing where to go
Will I ever fly above the sky, far beyond the moon?
