There are days I ponder within my heart why I am on Earth among God’s creation. What does He want me to see? Why am I living a life of abundance while the lost are roaming the cobbled streets, waiting for a kind Samaritan to save them? My sisters suffer in agony, leaving a trail of tears as they wail their torment to the heavens. But as they suffer, so do I.

Every time they give, sell their souls, bending their free will to the hands of monsters, my heart breaks for them. Every bruise they cover with their makeup and sunglasses, painting a smile to disguise their pain, leaves my soul broken. The tormenters spit in their face, starve them of love and affection, and yet my sisters stay beside them, hoping they don’t dare touch their loved ones. Oh, I can scarcely bear it!

When will you rescue them, Adonai? When will they taste life and freedom? Will they ever recognize the embodiment of true love, never found in a brute of a man, but in the steadfast love You show to us? I pray that day will come when you wipe every tear from our eyes and crush our enemies with the arrival of the New Jerusalem. I lift my eyes to you, Adonai, with my plea toward the heavens. Amen.
