Smoke and mirrors

just to feel good

Tell me

does your heart still bleed?

Gently

Slowly

Like the oozing of a peach slice

Thrust upon my dappled knife

Here –

Drink this water

Take my wife

And show her all the things that she could be…

Slowly

Holy

Like the (br)oozing of a peach slice –

Thrust upon my dappled knife –

Here –

Take this water

Drink my wife

And tell her all the things that she could be…

Holy

Only

Rotting

like that fucking peach slice

As I pierce it with my

dappled knife

Because I want to see what happens

when it bleeds.

Oh, look!

Here’s a monkey,

Making chutney,

Taste this morsel…

And please
tell me where it leads.
